For several months people have been saying "I can't wait for 2020 to be over".  Well, it's over but the only thing that changed was a page on the calendar.  Just one more thing to add to the list of letdowns that occur every year after the holiday season.  From Halloween on we are preparing for the holidays so it's no wonder that many people feel sad or blue after they are over.  With that in mind this month the focus is on ideas to help you cope with the post-holiday blues.

“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.” --- Confucius

One of the tips this month is to bring beauty into your home.  Taking down the holiday decorations can make a place feel dull and empty.  Fill it up again with candles, flowers, or a child’s art projects.  You may have trinkets from a trip or a handmade card from your child that aren’t priceless in dollars and cents, but they are treasures to you.  Enjoy what you see in them whether others appreciate them or not.

Today’s coaching challenge

Consider asking a child to create a drawing for you to display in your home.  What would you like them to draw for you?

Remember as a child how special you felt to see your school projects up on the refrigerator door?  You could give a little one that feeling right now and brighten up your home at the same time.

 Action to take

Who would you call today to be your artist and where would you display their work?

Always supporting you,

Jan
