This month we are looking at things that can easily put you in a state of overwhelm and actions you can take to replace that state with the feeling of being empowered.  This week let's look at the pitfalls of too much clutter both physical and mental.

"Clutter is not just physical stuff.  It's old ideas, toxic relationships, and bad habits. Clutter is anything that does not support your better self." -- Eleanor Brown

While you can hire people to help you clear your physical clutter you are solely responsible for your ideas, beliefs, and habits.  As you speed through your days you probably rarely stop to reflect on your mental operating system.

Today's Coaching Challenge

Are you still using a lot of the beliefs and habits that you developed when you were young?  Have you considered whether they still serve you like they did in the past?

Let's face it, your technology issues updates frequently to clear out the clutter in your device.  It's important for us to do that as well.  Having a cluttered or disorganized mind is like having stacks of papers on your desk and not knowing where anything is.

Action to take

Take some time within the next few days to look at your habits, beliefs, even relationships to make sure that they are worthy of you and helping you achieve the life you want to live.  With the new year a few days off this is a perfect time to make a mental checklist.
