This month is about creating more balance in your life between your needs and the needs of others.  There are several facets to balance, and this week is about discovering whether your life is in balance or not.

"The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities."--Stephen Covey

First, don't set a goal to always be in balance, that's not going to happen.  Strive to maintain a balanced life as often as possible.  Stephen is pointing out that how many people schedule their time is the opposite of what he recommends.  Most people write down what they want to accomplish and then decide what is the most important thing to do on that list.

Today's Coaching Challenge

Take some time to reflect on what you consider to be important in your life and things that bring you pleasure.  Then make a list of those items.

It's easy to get lost in your day with all your things to do without realizing that you're not spending time on everything that matters most to you.

Action to take

From the list, you made create your schedule to include as many of those items as possible, such as quality time with your family, working out, playing a musical instrument, etc.  This way you will start your day by scheduling the things that matter most and finish with everything else.
